A true retreat
A true retreat, we are at the end of a single track road about 1 1/2 miles from the village of Ruswarp. But it is not too hard to Find us. Our postcode, YO22 5HH takes you Golden Grove where you will cross a bridge and see a narrow road. It is signed ‘Not suitable for Motor Vehicles’ at this point but it is tarmac right to our door so continue up between the wall and the roadside cottage, passing just one more house on your right and you will find us about 1/2 mile from Golden Grove. The first building you will see is our magnificent studio. There is parking for three cars there and more in front of the house. If you are staying with us, further parking is 50 metres past the white house where you will see four numbered bays.
Public transport
We welcome visitors who choose to make their journey part of the retreat and arrive via public transport. We are happy to meet individuals at Whitby or Ruswarp stations and scenic options include the award winning East Coastliner Bus from Leeds and York or Esk Valley trains from Middlesborough. For larger groups we can arrange transfers from Scarborough station.
